“V.I.P.,” the latest single from independent artist Exzenya, dropped on September 18, 2025, is already stirring the pot with its fearless satire. Known for blending storytelling with razor-sharp humor, Exzenya flips the usual hip-hop trope of “VIP” status into something gritty and all-too-real: “Victim’s Impact Panel.” Instead of bottle service and velvet ropes, we’re plunged into the humiliating aftermath of a DUI—courtrooms, fees, panels, and the grim comedy of being forced to face one’s mistakes. Drawing comparisons to Eminem and Lil Dicky for its blend of wit and grit, “V.I.P.” holds a mirror to the bad choices and makes you laugh, nod, and wince.
The track kicks off with a suspenseful, echoing intro that drips smug, intimidating, suspenseful, and badass energy before the beat drops with heavy kicks and snappy snares. The vocals are theatrical, effortless, and smug as they come, rapping with suavity and boldness. The music starts churning before it turns soothing and back again, but the beats remain constant.
Lyrically, it’s pure satire and self-exposure. So it goes, “Serving on the victims impact panel / It’s not how I thought my life would be,” conveying the inner monologue of someone who’s both embarrassed and bemused by their own downfall. Elsewhere, “The judge threw the book at me / Like a high roller spending 100’s in the clubs” flips the script on the usual hip-hop brag, trading VIP booths for court dockets. Even the refrain, “Ya, I’m a mother f**in V.I.P,” doesn’t come as a victory cry, more like a bitter punchline about losing your license, your freedom, and maybe your job. By the end, “V.I.P.” throws the gauntlet as a bass-heavy banger to enjoy anytime.
