Austin-based artist GHSTFLSH, the creative alias of Brad Byram, returns with a cinematic punch in his latest single โWe Are The Aliens,โ released on September 29th, 2025. True to its name, the track is a rallying cry for the misfits, the dreamers, and anyone whoโs ever felt like they were dropped onto the wrong planet. Byram brings heavy rock grit with atmospheric depth as he channels that duality here, in something so anthemic and deeply introspective.
The song bursts open with fiery, driving guitars that blaze through the mix like solar flares, while the drums thunder beneath them, giving the whole thing a heartbeat that refuses to slow down. GHSTFLSHโs vocals arrive thick and urgent, half shout, half prayer, as he sings, โThe streets I used to know, every step feels borrowed though,โ instantly setting a tone of displacement. But instead of wallowing in that alienation, he turns it into raw defiance. The hook, โWe are the aliens, never fitting in,โ lands like a war cry for those done apologizing for being different.
As the track unfolds, you can hear layers of distortion and shimmering synth echoes swirling like cosmic dust. The bridge drifts into a haunting calm, the strings bending and fading as if lost in zero gravity, before the chorus roars back in full force, this time louder, fuller, unstoppable. The lyrics portray loneliness, self-searching, and the ache of not belonging, yet the tone is strangely empowering, as if each note is hammering the foundation of a new world built by outsiders themselves.
With โWe Are The Aliens,โ GHSTFLSH builds a gritty, defiant anthem. Itโs a bold soundtrack for every soul thatโs ever felt out of place on this planet.
