Wole Awolola releases enchanting song ‘IYANU’
Wole’s first ever Afrobeat song is titled ‘IYANU’. Snatcha, a legendary Christian rapper, is featured on it. Femi Olajide, also known as Mr. Eff, a top-notch Nigerian producer, produced the song.
This song is a modern rendition of an ancient Yoruba chorus that Wole learned to sing as a young boy in church and with his family. It was given a few verses to add, Snatcher added a smooth bridge, and Mr. Eff deftly crafted the perfect sound, bringing it back to life with vigor.
The Yoruba word for Wonderful is ‘IYANU’. The song merely describes God’s works as “full of wonders” or “wonderful.” Everything in the multiverse, including the planets, people living on them, natural laws, the systematic synchrony of the life cycle, etc., is perfectly balanced by God, who also designed and commissioned them.
