1,2,3 / Fflachlwch Bach (Bach) by Rogue Jones: Review

Sentimental and truly riveting, the music of Rogue Jones is essential for any alternative pop admirer. Their single entitled “1,2,3 / Fflachlwch Bach (Bach)” is a mix of atmospheric melodies, with a dash of funk to keep our spirits up. The artist employs an abundance of instrumental grit throughout each piece and the synergy between the piano and percussions stood out the most.
A wave of serenity flows in the opening number “1,2,3.” And what an intro this track had! A piano and trumpet duo sensationally draws you in. Eventually, a heartfelt singer begins their ode. Hearing it definitely had a pleasant effect on me, and I was eager to hear more of Rogue Jones’ magic. The slow-paced tempo fades and undergoes a rising transition. Eccentric percussions enter the scene that pertains to marching band energy. Altogether, a lovely crescendo emerges and the first track comes to a close. Up next is “Fflachlwch Bach (Bach)” an energetic alternative pop melody that gets you up on your feet and dancing with joy. This time around the artist exchanges its steady melodic pace from the previous tune with an upbeat hymn. Epic guitars cascade onto the track all the while igniting the fire of funk.
Emotional harmony along with dynamic melodies exist in Rogue Jones’ single. The first aspect ties in with the artist’s ability to maintain a sense of warmth in their vocals. The rest ties in with their captivating melodic style.
