Tritonicβs latest EP, Algae Bloom, is an experimental hardcore journey. The band plays experimental music with a dash of Pop and Indie. Their latest EPβs interesting sound keeps you engaged. From the first to the last note, youβll be entertained.
Algae Bloom opens the record with expressionist sounds and a dash of Tritonicβs synth and intriguing beats. From the get-go, the vocals are also complementary to the music.
βRoof to a Fieldβ begins melancholy and proceeds to be relentless as the band expresses the perfect Emo Punk sound. The bandβs early Fall Out Boy attitude keeps things interesting, as they sound more adventurous in βDead By Thirtyβ where the sounds are a stronger attempt. You can expect a powerful yet gentle play. βDeep Riverβ has a lively bassline and more comprehensive lyrics, with graceful tunes which complement the strong songs before and after it.
βI Want You to Knowβ has a chilling synth and darker vocal range. The EP closes off with the final track βJoin A Union.β It adds rhythmic grooves and a fantastic lead guitar. Itβs similar to The Smithsβ conflicting lyrics and music.
The only complaint is Algae Bloom by Tritonic is too short. And itβs not just 6 songs, but it also lasts for only about 11 and a half minutes. However, it is a great example of experimentalism, and it makes me anticipate their next creation full of experimental rock, Pop, and Indie magic.
