Baby We (Want You To Know) by the parker story: Review
There is a saying that goes, “Sometimes we plan our destiny. Sometimes destiny plans for us.” From the minute they met at a local festival in 2019, Parker and Anastasia were meant to fall in love and go on to form the indie band “the parker story.” After considerable anticipation, the debut single from the band, titled “Baby We (Want You To Know),” has at long last been released.
With a bouncing snare kick and catchy guitar arrangements, the song is upbeat and extremely exciting right off the bat. Parker played a variety of instruments, and the two of them wrote, recorded, and produced “Baby We” all by themselves in their teeny studio apartment. It delivers a delightful and dreamy rush of summer fever when you’re having the time of your life with your loved ones. It’s a song that perfectly expresses their romantic summer spent at Montrose Harbor beside the water. It’s amazing how they were able to capture the bonds they had with one another in their music. Their happiness is contagious and almost palpable in their giggles, the way their voices intertwine, and in the lyrics they write:
“The songs we played all night long
I’ll always hold on too
The songs at the harbor
That I sang with you”
The duo intends to continue releasing singles back-to-back throughout the rest of 2022. With a taste of what they have to offer like “Baby We”, you definitely want to stay tuned.
