Batteries by Eva No: Review
The Swedish singer-songwriter Eva Nordell, who goes by the moniker Eva No, returns to the scene to charge it up with her new EP, Batteries.
Not conforming to a particular style or genre, the EP is an assorted box of surprises in form of songs. The title track, Batteries start it off with an energetic wave of thumping beats, bass drops, and dancey synths.
Quotable Lyrics:
โIโm depending on you
So please hurry
Thereโs no time to lose
You can save me or destroy me
You can choose
I need energy
And I need it now
You know my level
Is going down, down
You gotta recharge my batteries
You gotta recharge my batteries
You gotta recharge my batteriesโ
Sometimes no matter how overworked you are and feel drained out, a little time with your special person charges up your batteries and you are ready to take on the world again. Eva No takes this feeling and lays it down to turn it into a super energetic dance tune. The track starts off with a rumbling deep bass backed by a groovy synth line. She combines her melodious singing with layers of synth and punchy beats to build up the tension for the hooks. As the bass drops with the hook, it recharges your batteries to get you up and dancing along. This song has all the elements to be a club house banger and set the dancefloor ablaze with its catchy melodies and bass drops. Perfect song for a weekend party or even to listen to have a party of your own.
