Brandon Banks, the R&B sensation, has released a new single called “Tryin.”
Brandon continues to explore his distinctive laid-back sound as “Tryin'” bounces over echoing basslines and sweet-tone melodies, the second release off his upcoming EP Natural Progressions. Brandon’s blend of timeless silky vocals, synth-laden electronics, and hip-hop beats flawlessly intersects contemporary lo-fi and easy-listening sounds on “Tryin’,” which was produced by lophiile (Alina Baraz, Hope Tala, Gallant).
Writing, editing, co-producing, and creative directing everything he works on, the Inglewood, CA native has become known for a special talent and attention to craft that surrounds each release. Brandon has built a significant reputation as one of the US’s hottest emerging talents despite the elusive nature of his drops and only a handful of releases: early collaborations with Mereba and Umi have led to recent credits on Drake’s Certified Lover Boy, with critical attention coming from the likes of Pigeons&Planes, GQ, and V Magazine among others on those shores.
