Come on Baby by Prove You Wrong: Review
We all know the feeling of being driven by intense passion when we fall for someone. Imagine listening to some hard rock over bourbon at the open rock mic club about falling deep into love sung by a modern band called Prove You Wrong. They are Arizona-based, crazy to the core, creating music that cracks through your skull.
Pressing play on their release “Come on Baby”, you will hear a mid-tempo strung with an edgy build-up and powerful drums. This will slowly transition to a heavy vocal that will have you banging your head in a crazy persuasion. Although it is a song with minimal lyrics, it revolves around incredible and pure sonic bliss until the end. Our favorite part is right around 2 minutes into the song. It shifts between high pitches in a crispy effort, while the drums play an 80s rock intermission. It is the perfect change to keep your ears hooked, raising your expectations for the next lyrics and music to come. There is no crawling or sudden pace kicking up, by the way, except for impressive riffs and further heavy tones to pull you from scratch to finish.
“Come on Baby” is quite the rock n’ roll head banger that keeps the stoners in the club, motorbike rider gang boys and alternative rock fans coming back for more. And they are more than happy to welcome newbies to join their club for a taste of their dark artistry.
