Dead Flowers by Bridget Kelly Quinn: Review
Dead Flowers is the latest album by Bridget Kelly Quinn. The Duo consists of David Lennin, who plays guitar and keys, and Bridget Kelly Quinn, who is on vocals. The bandโs influences are Janis Joplin, Jeff Buckley, Ella Fitzgerald, and many more legendary singers. The album was recorded and produced by Becca Starr.
The first song of this album, โPlease Stayโ starts off with an electric guitar rhythm and bass guitar, then comes the sweet vocal of Kelly Quinn singing freely and openly with a clear dynamic voice. The whole song is composed only of bass, an electric guitar, and melodious vocals. It is a very mellow and soothing song.
โI Am Meโ is the second track of the album, which begins with an electric piano tune and then enters the hypnotizing vocal, which will calm the senses of the listeners. The vibrato and the ups and downs in her vocals are extraordinary. It is a simple, yet gorgeous song.
The album ends with โDead Flowersโ which starts with a blue-tuned acoustic guitar filler, then comes the bass and the vocals. It sounds like a song from the 1970s, yet itโs from this new era of technology. It is a fun song to listen to, and the choppy guitar rhythm is delightful.
The album is very interesting and done almost acoustically, it sounds really soothing and peaceful. The quality of the vocal complements the composition in a very cool and groovy way. Almost falling in the genre of easy-listen, the album will appeal to a wide range of listeners.
