Game Over by Liv Charette: Review
Liv Charette’s brand-new song Game Over is an epic win. Game Over is a powerful homage that blends contemporary pop music with a strong vocal performance from Charette, as well as an undeniable attitude and timeless Midway Arcade style.
A lifelong videogame fan, the artist comments that you sometime have to treat your relationships as video games. Just like the games have set number of lives, the person you’re with should have set number of chances. Once they mess up and lose all those, it’s time to say goodbye to them. The song is an anthem of being the winner by ending the relationship where you’re taken for granted– which makes it the perfect follow up to her previous song Red Flags White.
The electrifying track features nostalgic arcade game sounds and Liv’s delivery of the song makes it apparent why she’s been dubbed as the “powerhouse vocalist” by Rolling Stone magazine. The song is also featured by a fitting 1990s VH1 show Pop Up Video themed music video where she goes through an arcade where animations pop up stating fun facts about the artist.
