Liar by Hyattsvillain: Review
Washington DC based garage rock band Hyattsvillain gives us a sneak peak of their debut album “Short Songs for a Fast Life” with new single Liar.
Hyattsvillain teases their upcoming debut album in a true rock and roll fashion. Recorded in DC mixed by multi-platinum, grammy award winning producer Andros Rodriguez who has previously produced for artists like Madonna, Joywave and Santigold, and mastered by another grammy winning mastering engineer Alan Douches who has mastered tracks for legends like Motorhead, Mastodon and Thrice. These two behemoth producers added their magic to the already explosive sound of the band.
This single is a statement piece to be reckoned with that they are not to be taken lightly. With crunchy mean guitars, hard hitting drums and that nasty tone, it is a true testament of classic rock n roll. It’s one of those songs that will get both the 80s rock n roll fans and new bloods headbanging. The 50s animated style music video adds that extra oomph to the song. From every tone to its production and delivery, everything about this song is high quality. They just raised the bar for the rest of the album that we now are eagerly looking forward to.
