Jonivan Jones releases breathtaking track ‘Little Red Hen’
The musician and songwriter begins live performances in support of his most recent Americana LP, ‘Ragged Jangly’. On behalf of Buffalo Music/Jonivan Jones Music, the album is self-produced and released worldwide on all digital platforms on Thursday at midnight. It includes 10 brand-new, original tracks totaling just over 33 minutes of Americana Roots, Folk, and Gritty Blues music. The lead singles ‘Lonely Highway West Blues’ and ‘Little Red Hen’ received airplay on KASU’s Arkansas Roots Radio Program and are featured on YouTube.
The background for an album was created by struggling over the past few years and traveling, sleeping in cars or on the ground in parks and national forests along tour routes. Road songs, still spells, little red hens, ragged truths, an ode to a significant cowboy singer, old trails, road staggers, lonely highway blues, bat countries, second chance hearts, and a quick fade are all present. This album represents the pinnacle of 17 years of independent songwriting, live performances, and travel throughout the United States and other countries. It is a mash-up of influences and experiences, ranging from Arkansas Folk to the Delta & Country Blues sound to the traditional Americana rhythm.
