Kevin Brown is a jazz saxophonist who is blind. Kevin has honed an intense, improvise style of playing thanks to his more than 40 years of professional experience. The listener is soothed and entranced by his distinctive sound. Kevin has traveled to Spain, the Canary Islands, Europe, the United States, and Canada. Kevin has had the opportunity to play in numerous bands and ensembles, ranging from his solo performances to a 40-piece jazz orchestra, thanks to his proficiency in a variety of musical genres, including jazz, blues, rock, fusion, R&B, funk, classical, and country. Curse Buster Sound is the recording studio that Kevin owns and runs.
Jazz saxophonist Kevin Brown performs all over the world. Like many others, Kevin has had music by his side through the good times and the bad. At the age of six, doctors partially restored Kevin’s vision after he was completely blind at birth. Even when he was younger, he played football and taught himself how to play the saxophone while making full use of his partial sight. Kevin, however, became aware of his eyesight’s limitations the day he was struck by a car. Soon after, he started to concentrate more on music.
