The second single from Rammstein’s upcoming new album, Zeit, has just been published, and it’s called “Zick Zack.”
The song follows up on “Zeit,” the album’s title track, which was released in March after the band teased news about the follow-up to 2019’s unnamed effort. That was Rammstein’s first new album in a decade, and thankfully, fans haven’t had to wait nearly as long for new material from the industrial legends.
While “Zeit” explored some complex subjects, “Zick Zack,” which appears sixth on the new album’s track listing, does not. This song explores cosmetic surgery and is a return to Rammstein’s cheekier side (read the English translation of the lyrics here).

Rammstein stated after the publication of their untitled album in 2019 that it might be their last, but owing to unexpected downtime due to the pandemic, the band’s creativity surged and they moved to France to start working on new songs. Flake Lorenz, the keyboardist, remarked earlier this year, “We recorded a record that we hadn’t intended on.”
Rammstein will finally begin its long-awaited and twice-postponed North American stadium tour this summer, which will run from August 21 to October 4. To check if the run is coming to a city near you, go here.
