Magic by J’Moris: Review
The Texan rapper J’Moris’ opening track to his latest album, “Moris Better: Loveless Confessions” is simply Magic.
Following his previous album, Blac February, the latest release from Hilsboro’s very own opens with a banger. Fusing trap beats, and cicada high hats with looped guitar, J’Moris delivers an infectious flow. Opening the song with a gentle guitar arpeggio that no one saw coming, J’Moris gives a taste of his versatility right from the beginning. With the guitar looping in the background, his rhymes take control of the rhythm along with the 808. Incorporating RnB and trap in his lyrical flow, J’Moris hits different with his southern grit.
The production quality of this song is just baller. The tried and true 808s beats hit hard with the fire J’Moris spits. The bass is deep and sure to turn heads when you pull up with it playing on the car stereo. The auto-tune doesn’t overshadow the grit in his voice and keeps it real while adding character to it. Combined with the catchy hook, this is one baller track to blast on your cruise through the hood.
