Sounds Like Whiskey to Me by Gary Pratt: Review

Gary Pratt is a vocalist, a songwriter, and most crucially, an energizing country performer who is able to link with his crowd. He has been performing for a long time and is a seasoned musician. Gary’s upbringing was in the coal mining community of Slickville, in the state of Pennsylvania. The artist’s country rock song “Sounds Like Whiskey to Me” is an upbeat tune filled with bluesy arrangements from the guitars and saloon-style piano passages, but most of all Gary’s superior voice graces the track all over.
The main riff of the song has this gritty bluesy, road-trip-esque vibe to it. It is quite groovy and incorporates a traditional country emotion to it. Now, about Gary’s singing stance, he manages to express a pitch full of raspiness and grit. It was a joy to hear and brings along the essential aspects of being smooth and cool. The percussion pieces put the foundation for the energetic nature of the track, and it brings along a consistency that was quite rich to hear.
As a musician myself and a longtime admirer of country music, I find it in my heart and soul that Gary’s track “Sounds Like Whiskey to Me” resonates with me easily. The song’s structure blends a strong mixture of blues bourbon, with a country cocktail and serves it up effortlessly. I urge passionate listeners of the country genre to give Sounds Like Whiskey to Me by Gary Pratt a listen!
