Olivia Khoury released phenomenal new song โWholeheartedโ
Olivia Khoury combines jazz, folk, and indie music styles with complex harmonies and arrangements. The song is accompanied by a stunning music video that Alex Beausejour directed. This is Oliviaโs first project as artistic director, and she had fun bringing her dreamy forest adventure to life on screen.
The multidisciplinary artist was looking for sincerity and authenticity when making โPortraitsโ. Olivia takes her listeners on a journey through jazz, pop, indie, folk, and spaces of vulnerable introspection. Her music is original and has been blended to incorporate all of her influences.
Unexpected vocal harmonies are audible, as is the unexpected interaction between guitars and percussion with Latin influences. Six songs showcase the musicianโs formal jazz training. In several songs, including โWaiting, โSeekโ, and โWholeheartedโ, Olivier Guertin and Mark Nelson converse with one another. Acquired ears may notice the drum parts superimposed on top of one another.
