On the new track ‘Burn,’ Ailsha collaborates with Aran Sheehy. A collaboration between two of Ireland’s most promising upcoming performers from different musical genres.
AILSHA is the most well-known ‘Pop Goth’ in Ireland. The Wicklow singer’s characteristic bubblegum pop style with witty lyrics has received parallels to Lily Allen, The Divine Comedy, and Danny Elfman, following her win in two categories in the Hot Press Hottie Awards 2022 (‘Most Promising’ and ‘Ground-Breaking Female Artist of 2021’). AILSHA is no stranger to live gigs, having headlined venues such as The Workman’s Club, Fibber Magee’s, and Bello Bar this year. The band looks forward to performing at Indiependence Festival 2022. (with more festival slots to be announced).
AILSHA’s single releases have received worldwide (EARMILK, Digital Tour Bus, Popmuzik, and more) and national (‘Track of the Week’ on TodayFM, ‘One to Watch’ on Spin1038, and more) support, with her debut track ‘FBOY’ reaching #1 in the Irish iTunes Charts.
AILSHA spent years performing as a professional makeup artist in Dublin. She left the cosmetics profession in 2020 to pursue a career in composition. She became the official composer for Big Brother: The Game shortly after graduating from Griffith/Pulse College with a certificate in Video Game Music Production.

“From recently fulfilling her childhood dream of being a composer for video games to creating intricate soundscapes that reveal her musical potential, AILSHA is making a unique space for herself in the pop scene”
EARMILK
AILSHA collaborates with another artist for the first time on ‘Burn.’ Her honey sweet vocals compliment Aran Sheehy’s characteristic space synths for a unique song that transports the listener to another realm, thanks to a collaboration with a fellow Wicklow local. She puts it this way: “I’ve always wanted to write a song that sounds like it belongs in its own world. It’s been fun to try something different that’s different from my usual, lighthearted writing style. Because Aran and I both have a fascination with space, we wanted to let our inner space cadets shine in this track!”
