Possum Bitter by Possum: EP Review
“Possum Bitter” is a soothing folk EP by Possum. The record encompasses heartfelt lyrics and calming instrumental sections that’ll keep you immersed. If you’re an avid follower of the folk music genre, especially those that accompany the acoustic guitar and other related instruments, then you can’t go wrong with “Possum Bitter” by Possum.
The EP starts off with an energetic track called, “Come Drinking With Me.” The intro has a lovely tavern-style cadence along with a bluegrass-inspired violin and mandolin. Eventually, when the verse enters an intimate narrative builds up, and we absorb the singer’s passionate aura. The next number “Shouldn’t Have Done That To You” has such a vibe. From the jazzy rhythm section to the clean vocal segments, the track will truly make you feel relaxed, almost as if island-hopping from one picturesque destination to the next. Furthermore, we arrive on an emotional note with the songs, “Bluestone” and “Night Out In South Melbourne.” The vocal segments have a gentle tone, and each transition has a weight to it. In addition to that, the acoustic cadence bonded with the essence, and formed a beautiful connection.
If you’re like me and enjoy hearing sentimental folk songs, then “Possum Bitter” by Possum should be the perfect mix for you! Do check out this delightful artist.
