Puzzle by Elad David: Review
Elad David began releasing original material after more than 20 years of tremendous and highly diversified activities in the Israeli music business. โPuzzleโ is an instrumental piece that has a mashup of various genres present. From the electro-pop synth elements to the classic rock guitar solos, it is truly an electrifying track that will send dopamine signals to your nervous system.
In โPuzzleโ we explore a synthesizer verse sequence that is covered with percussion and guitar riffs at times as well. The synth is more based on crisper, and mostly arrangements that have more treble to them than the bass. There is bass involved as well, but the main sequences have this arpeggio sound that is catchy and has a certain disco vibe to it. What I enjoyed about the track was its ability to mix electronica with rock music. Sometimes two genres mixing together doesnโt turn out well, and the experimentation might sound a bit awkward. However, David did a spectacular job of knowing what instrument to play at the exact time. So, not only is he a great instrumentalist but also has a clear vision of which melody sounds good. Ladies and gents, trust me, there is a very clear distinction between the two, and only legendary artists have both those skills!
The guitar solo has elements of shred, and classic rock bending. The notes are very clean, and the playing style of David points the signs to a veteran guitar player. Indeed, in โPuzzleโ we find a meaningful instrumental piece that the masses should be acquainted with!
