Mark Walsh’s new single “Saturn” floats through space in slow motion, starry-eyed, a little weightless, and absolutely drenched in feeling. Inspired by Interstellar, a full moon, and the kind of girlfriend who makes moonwalking look like magic, this track is a cosmic slow-burn that lands straight in your heart.
From the first muffled, dreamy vocal lines over gentle guitar strums, to the slow drop of shimmering beats and thick bass, “Saturn” sets the tone for an intergalactic romance that’s more about emotion than escapism.
Walsh is taking his love past the shooting stars. “Moonwalking the rings on Saturn, but if I don’t got you it don’t matter” is one of those rare lines that hits the perfect balance of sweet, cinematic, and oddly specific (yes, it’s based on his girlfriend dancing in her room, which just makes it even better). The production elevates the whole thing too — from real NASA space recordings embedded in the mix to the clean pop vocals and lush instrumental build-ups, the vibe feels both futuristic and grounded in real, human intimacy.
Walsh’s voice is where a lot of the magic lives. It’s soft, sincere, and absolutely soaked in yearning. His lyrics spiral around love like a satellite: poetic without being too precious, personal but universal enough that anyone who’s ever felt anchored by someone will get it. By the time he croons “just keep me here” for the third time, you kinda want to freeze time too.
“Saturn” is just really damn good at being what it is: a love letter wrapped in constellations and cozy synths. Mark Walsh is clearly orbiting something special, and this track is proof he’s only going up.
