The duo Amáutica, with Romina Dusk on drums and Eugenio J. Cáceres on guitars and vocals, has released their second studio album, Sin Altares. Released this September 6, the record is an intuitive creative exploration of dark rock music with profound lyricism and instrumentals.
The album opens with “Más Allá de los Hielos,” a high-energy track that immediately grabs your attention with an engaging beat. Guitars drive the song with intense riffs, grinding through with grit. Meanwhile, the raspy, high vocals of Eugenio J. Cáceres are sure to get you pumped up due to their heavy gravitas.
Coming up next is “Acaso el Viento” with rustling, hard-hitting drums and a steady rhythm. It features a guest appearance from Ariel Rossi, whose deep and thick harmonies are heard in the back to haunt us all.
“El Recuerdo en la Sangre” is a more orchestral track, featuring dramatic strings while guitars grind with friction against the floor and manufacture a suspenseful, epic, and anthemic vibe. On the other hand, the powerful vocal performance from Amáutica will leave you staggering.
“Lejos del Sol” is a more aggressive and confrontational track that shocks with the menacing, gnarling, and thick vocals of Diego Petru pit against the gritty riffs grinding by.
“Sudestada – Andrew Furtek Remix” is a reimagining of the album’s closing track, remixed by Andrew Furtek. With a relaxing rhythm that gets you composed, the music gets more and more immersive and hence triggers a tranquilizing effect.
Listen to Sin Altares by Amáutica if you seek spirituality, purpose, and wisdom in the form of powerful rock music.
