Space by Emeye: Review

Emeye smashes the potential summer hits chart with his anti-thesis on love on his latest release, “Space”. This is an uptempo dance track with house music influences that can go on loop on endless summer nights, even though it marks strong subversion with the lyrics: it is actually a breaking-up anthem!
Needless to say about the greatest dance hits for the broken-hearted throughout the decades of pop music: Dancing On My Own by Robyn or Your Type by Carly Rae Jepsen, Emeye takes a trending yet the relatable point of view on breaking up: the moment when you need a space of your own. This also picks up what NASA by Ariana Grande has left off.
Quotable lyrics:
I don’t want you
I don’t want you back
I don’t wanna again
And I,
Yes I love you
But I don’t feel myself
I would need some space!
The lyrics are straight-up statements from a defiant voice of the generation, and Emeye sum it up beautifully with this neat dance track that would soon be replayed all over and over again in clubs. Dance tracks for the broken-hearted is now added one more potential hit to the playlist.
Space by Emeye is now available for streaming on different platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, and Youtube.
