Tarantula Bill’s latest single, “Supertramp,” is here to blast you off on a psychedelic joyride! This energetic track, which dropped on April 26th under Mean World Records, is the brainchild of Kendon McGehee, along with his killer bandmates: Jason Kaplan (drums), Joe Lovoi (bass), and Dan O’Connell (guitar).
“Supertramp” opens with a lone guitar riff, bending and swirling like smoke signals in a desert mirage. Then, bam! The drums kick in, pounding in perfect sync, and the whole thing just drives with energy.
Here comes the vocalist, soaring in with a hazy, high voice that’s both immersive and totally captivating. It’s like a psychedelic shaman leading you on a trippy quest. The echoing vocals bring mind-bending goodness. They create this swirling, hypnotic vibe that’s both soothing and expansive, almost like joining a secret, groovy cult (in the best way possible).
Just when you think you’ve reached peak awesome, the song throws you a curveball. The bridge hits the brakes, cooling things down for a second. It’s like a moment of clarity amidst the swirling colors, but don’t get too comfortable. The jittery percussion keeps things on edge, reminding you that this is Tarantula Bill’s world, and we’re just tripping along in it.
“Supertramp” is a must-listen for fans of psychedelic rock who want to lose themselves in a kaleidoscopic soundscape. So, clear the dance floor, and prepare to be transported by Tarantula Bill’s “Supertramp.”
