Tightrope by Amber T: Review
Amber T, a young sensation who has already experienced a multitude of musical successes, is on a roll and has made a stir with her new release ‘Tightrope’.
‘Tightrope’ is an emotionally charged pleading of an eighteen years old Amber T which adheres to contemporary pop with slight indie edginess in melody. It is described by many as being her best work to date.
The song starts with down-strokes on power-chords and a faith synth insinuating the arrival of something heavier. Then the heavy and easily distinguishable bass accompanied by acoustic drums rather than electronic ones enters the scene and creates a sturdy structure that holds the listeners in a trance till the end. The processed vocals singing a distinct kind of familiar tune with ample power on the chorus make the song a journey to remember. The delicate and vulnerable falsetto paints a stark contrast to the belting in the chorus exhibiting Amber’s singing prowess. The bridge takes a sudden turn with exotic chords to accompany and builds some tension that gets released in the final chorus.
‘Tightrope’ is bound to be on repeat through the summer. It is a song you will fall in love with from the first listen whether you like an actual tightrope or not. The song was produced and mastered by Michael Smith at RYP studios.
