Train Conductor release a new single โMicrophoneโ
Train Conductor is a psychedelic-tinged group that emerged from the high desert settings of Albuquerque, New Mexico, over the years, with contributions from members of the Gatherers, BALLETS, Dulce Base, Canyonlands, and Holy Glories. Will Byrneโs idea is still at the heart of it. Byrne moved west after graduating from high school in Philadelphia, bringing with him a love of science and a desire to create unusual music. That desire gave birth to Train Conductor, which has had a lot of lineup changes over the last decade, with Byrne remaining a constant.
The band explores synth-heavy production with an experimental edge, utilizing analog and digital procedures to build its sound. Byrne and his collaborators push the boundaries of recording locations even further: Warm Adobe Brain and Where Sound Meets Space were recorded on a Tascam 388 in a 1970s-era solar grow house in Sandia Park.
