11:01 by Zeta Zeroes: Review
Hold thy breath, for there is a new man in town, Bill R, who came to break your heart with his utter handsomeness and his solo D.C.-based project Zeta Zeroes, filled with masterful work such as the debut album 11:01. Intrigued yet?
Zeta Zeroes draws inspiration from bands like Sum 41 and Rise Against, among many others, but their four-song EP still sounds remarkably more metal, unique and fresh. Itโs 11 minutes worth raving about because youโll feel instant adrenaline of optimism.
Four instrumentals developed over a decade have finally had lyrics added, and the outcome is more stunning than you can expect! Youโll appreciate the clever way the guitar riffs are constructed, taking interesting detours despite the songsโ heaviness. There isnโt a single flaw in Billโs performance, what with the screaminโ guitar solos and the thunderous drum fills.
While the first song, recorded with minimal assistance, sets the stage admirably, it demonstrates the dedication and skill required to get such a great result. Not to mention, Billโs incredibly dynamic vocal delivery and range had me dying to press play on the next song, even if there are just three more to look forward to! If you want to experience Zeta Zeroes, you have to give its entirety a shot, otherwise, youโd be missing out.
Although creating art takes time and effort, this rendition of genuine punk rock is exactly the kind of music we need sometimes to conquer the world. Thatโs why I hope Zeta Zeroes lands more projects to break the top charts in the coming years!
