Let the sirenlike, seductive, baby mezzo-soprano voice of Kat Harrison swoon you in the musical realm of ‘2 Miles High.” Released recently, 2 Miles High by Wuzy Bambussy and Kat Harrison is bound to get you grooving and moving with its hypnotic, sultry sound provided by the jazzy bassline, muted guitar, and looped drums. The funkiness of this track is unbeatable with its extremely jammable amalgamation of electronic and instrumental music. It comes out sounding like citrus sizzling in your mouth.
You just immerse yourself in the whole zestiness. Unlike other atmospheric tracks, you don’t lose yourself in the instrumentals; instead, it’s the voice that pulls you in, and the instrumentals behind shake it up and keep you energized instead of losing yourself in Kat’s vocal seduction. You will find her voice alternating from the focal point to a siren soaring and dwindling in between verses.
But let’s not forget that the whole composition and mixing wouldn’t be possible without producer Nikolai Jones, the man behind the alias Wuzy Bambussy. Nikolai and Kat have single-handedly produced this masterpiece, that too remotely, while only having met twice. They have recorded 10 tracks together already. It looks like they make an astounding team.
While the addictive and sultry feel of 2 Miles High wouldn’t be achievable with any voice other than Kat’s, the bridge is unmatched with the upbeat, warm brass instrumental tone of the trumpet. Bambussy really showed us what it’s like to remain rooted while being modern and synthesized. He, along with Harrison, has created an addictive dynamic that you will hit the repeat button on for years to come.
