OGGY returns with a melodic tension and emotional candor in “Another Dream,” released April 5, 2024, as a pop–rock anthem shaped by longing, disappointment, and the stubborn hope that refuses to die quietly. Rooted in London, carrying the dramatic pulse of early-2000s rock influences, especially Fall Out Boy, the track cements OGGY’s growth from emerging indie artist to a writer with rousing sensibility and a more commanding sound.
It definitely caught my eye that the single comes after years of rigorous training, MMus studies in London, private vocal coaching, and steadily performing at open-mics, so you can hear that discipline in every corner of the track. OGGY, also known as Olga Savic, leans fully into her strengths as a storyteller and vocalist, using melody as her anchor and memory as her muse. She says she always writes from melody first, and “Another Dream” makes that obvious as the hook digs in instantly, carrying the ache of someone bracing for heartbreak even while praying for a different ending.
The song opens on a soft, soothing melody that lulls you in, just before the rumbling drums hit with a tension that signals trouble ahead. Her voice enters high, tender, and slightly tense, trying to control things while everything inside is shaking. As the guitars grind and drive through the mix, the song swells into a cinematic and personal full pop-rock wave.
Then comes the chorus, the emotional bullseye, “Another dream come to end / When I look into your eyes I will see it’s all pretend…” Her vulnerable, honest, and painfully relatable delivery cracks the veneer, like clinging to someone who won’t stay, and knowing it.
By the final stretch, the track stays romantic and tragic, as a bittersweet postcard from a dreamer trying to hold on. “Another Dream” proves OGGY carves out her voice, which she does with a whole lot of heart in it.
