Be Fine. by KELS: Review
We all make mistakes in life, and there are moments when it can be difficult to keep a level head and just go on. When that happens, itโs easy to dwell on your missteps, and your heart is filled with doubt. Sometimes, when it seems like thereโs no way out, itโs enough to be reminded that everything will work out in the end. That sentiment is encapsulated in the German singer-songwriter KELSโs most recent track, โBe Fine.โ
KELSโs life has revolved around music ever since she was a child, when she began actively participating in choirs, church singing, and songwriting. In 2021, she made her debut with the well-received EP Slow Ryde. You can hear quite clearly in the music of the new wave neo-soul musician the influences of her favorite performers like Ms. Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu, and Amy Winehouse. In โBe Fine,โ she required little to shine. In addition to the funky bass and jazzy beat, her voice is like a fine wine: itโs full of flavor and gets better the more you listen to it. It will undoubtedly lift your spirits and give you more confidence to take on your obstacles as the lyrics over and over echo the reassuring message, โYeah, weโre gonna be fine.โ
KELS wrote โBe Fineโ from the depths of her own heart, drawing on personal experience. She generates an uplifting, dazzling sense of hope that keeps rising in your chest. Itโs a beautiful song that should be heard as soon as possible.
