Change by FireBug: Review
A rock song with a classic vibe ‘Change’ is a standout song from FireBug’s latest album ‘No Return’ released on March 18th 2022.
FireBug was formed by Chicago natives Juliette Tworsey and Jules Shapiro (The Two Jays). After the success of their first two albums ‘Season for Change’ and ‘Wandering Soul’, the band settled in California and recorded their latest album ‘No Return’ at Clocktower Recorders with engineer Charlie Stavish. The album was produced by the two jays.
‘No Return’ contains seven distinct rock songs with ‘Change’ being one of the standout tracks. The band has stated classic rock bands like Led Zappelin, Rolling Stones and Jimi Hendrix as their influence and you would find a piece of all those acts in their songs.
‘Change’ has all the characteristics of a classic rock song. Julliet Tworsey’s voice has a notable classic rock, 80’s-90’s feel that will take listeners way back. The verses are a little laid back but the chorus is dynamic and loud justifying all the buildup. ‘Change’ is one of those songs where the guitar and the piano are always there to keep your attention right till the end. The outro features some beautiful piano works, a drum roll and some skilled vocal works by Julliet Tworsey.
Change always feels strange and FireBug gave us a stark reminder about that through ‘Change’.
