Division Complex by Voice Of Addiction: Review
If the sound of gunpowder and canons flying past the battlefield had a sound other than its actual one, itโd be the music of the Voice Of Addiction. I mean that in a non-violent way of course. Itโs my way of saying, bro, your sound is an absolute juggernaut. Itโs powerful, itโs sentimental, and itโs the audio embodiment of new-age punk, with a slice of metal. Voice Of Addiction hails from Chicago, and has managed to create a remarkable track titled โDivision Complexโ. Guys, GUYS, you HAVE to hear this.
First of all, the drummer is an absolute machine. His double pedal runs, and swift techniques are absolutely insane. The guitar works fast and will fry your brain. And then, there are the vocals. Oh man, the absolute grit and force of the singer. This is what passionate screaming is like. On a scale of one to ten, he scored an eleven because he crossed the boundary of expectations and frikkinโ owned it.
The track feels like an ode to a movement of sorts. The band believes in their own social causes and reflects their thoughts into song. Way to stick it to the man, my dudes! Music is not just melody and notes, well I mean it is, but itโs also a way of expressing yourself. And that my friends are where the magic of punk rock comes in. Punk is a special kinda genre where you stand your ground, and show the world what youโre made of. Letโs just say, Voice Of Addiction is certainly made of one thing, and that is the spirit of rock and roll!
