Emergence by Claire Bigley: Review
Claire Bigley has played the piano her entire life, believing that music is the healing humanity needs. Despite having a classical music background, she finds that she prefers letting her own music speak to her more and has recorded this in an eight-track album titled “Emergence”. The title track is a stunning body of modern classic work that exemplifies what her music can do for the mind, body, and spirit.
The sound has a late-night tranquility about it, making you feel as if you can’t speak too loudly or you’ll interrupt the tender flow. The piano-driven melody has a serene and soothing feel to it that borders on ambient. Bigley has a way of drawing you deeper into her own aural landscape with each note she plays, capturing your attention easily under her fingertips. She even recorded herself playing in different states to acquire the results she wanted. When it comes to this kind of music, you’ll want to savor each and every second of it. Speaking of the album, Claire says: “As the world is increasingly volatile and chaotic, it’s understandable that many are stressed out and feeling at their wit’s end. I wanted to create a half-hour musical balm to soothe the nervous system and inspire the soul.”
Another single by Claire Bigley is scheduled for release in September of this year. With what she has shown thus far, you would undoubtedly want to follow her on her path. Just give it a try as soon as possible.
