He She They (Remastered) by Peppermint Moon: Review

Colin Schlitt, the man behind the delightful sound of Peppermint Moon presents an indie number with a folksy twist. Called “He She They”, the song is a moving melody that involves sweet progressions from an organ-style synth and light guitar embellishments.
“He She They” has a shadowy bass segment that is gently placed behind each instrument’s vibe. It is quite minimal, yet without the song would feel a bit empty. With that being said, the singer has this bluesy voice that connects excellently with each verse section and instrumental sequence. There is a hint of mystery and avant-garde within Peppermint Moon’s song. The quirkiness of the rhythm pattern stands out, and it is indeed a strong point. According to the artist, this track explains the nature of figuring out who we are, and what we love. It pertains to a simple theme, and a pleasant harmony follows through with it.
Something about Peppermint Moon’s melodic originality makes me think of historical psychedelic music. Boy, there was a time when that’s all I used to hear! The music that emerged during the colorful hippie age of the 1960s and 1970s has a unique healing aura. These songs connected with me because of my upbringing, and “He She They” is no stranger to catchy psychedelic music. The guitar’s fun tone (and probably a touch of the ukulele as well) is also incredibly upbeat and optimistic!
