Heart by Mox: Album Review

“Heart” is a soulful indie album crafted by artist Mox. The musician’s rhythmic and lyrical ideas are pretty impressive and pertain to a certain healing emotion for our being. This aspect is expressed through evocative vocal sections and an instrumental aura that’ll enchant you from the very get-go.
From the ethereal synths and clean acoustic riffs of “Untethered,” to math rock brilliance of “Trust,” Mox shows us what it really means to feel music inside your chest, in your veins, all over your body really. There’s a certain resonating aspect to the music, especially in “Trust.” The guitar’s tone overflows into your nerves, and the narrative digs deep into your psyche. So much so, that it creates a home where more melodies can enter and allows a certain sense of comfort to build up. “Melanie” is one such track where the bassline takes the record and changes the pacing a bit. The energy switches from fast-paced to more ambient textures, the bass is there for it all, maintaining the tempo and adding that necessary magic.
The album’s exit comes forth in a nice wholesome package, a self-titled tune with plenty of “Heart” to it. It’s a pleasant indie mix with clean acoustic guitars and an atmospheric synth rhythm that keeps that essence alive. All in all, a sensational piece to truly immerse yourself in!
