I am 5.6.4.3 by Kahnin: Review
“I am 5.6.4.3” by Kahnin is an intriguing indie rock tale surrounding human nature and technology. With dark themes such as a dystopian universe and human augmentation, this Icelandic musician shows us the potential dangers of such aspects through a powerful melody. With that said, a resonant singer charges the force of “I am 5.6.4.3” all the while epic rock guitars take the helm.
Looking back at the evolution of songwriting in the music biz is pretty inspiring. Even back in the 60s musicians valiantly protested government laws through song, and at the same time dedicated an ode to their significant other. Such diversity is endearing, and the exact vibe is captured in Kahnin’s eye-opening track. “I am 5.6.4.3” is an indie rock melody at its core, its themes depict the absurdity of tech and is woke culture at its finest.
The music video isn’t the only thing that is enlightening, but also the song’s flow and groove share an equal nature. The verse and chorus bits employ a bit of jangly guitar with an exuberant singer tagging along, and all of it has a nice ring to it. Harmony and grit are consistent throughout the piece, and it’s one of those songs that doesn’t leave your thoughts. Kahnin’s melodic inspiration and lyrical themes are pretty fascinating, and ideal for anyone who seeks the truth from technology with an indie rock twist.
