Into The Light’s latest single, “Bridge,” released this May 26th packs a punch with its blaring guitar, driving into a compelling fusion of suppressed frustrations. The band draws inspiration from 90s grunge and modern hardcore—their signature appeal with which they have created this track. And it comes out sounding perfectly impactful and anthemic with encoring vocals.
Recorded at More Sound with producer Steve Sopchak in Syracuse, NY, “Bridge” showcases the track’s ability to seamlessly blend aggressive instrumentation with captivating melodies, creating a sonic experience that leaves a lasting impression. From the outset, “Bridge” grabs attention with its intense guitar riffs and propulsive drumming.
Vocally, “Bridge” showcases a combination of emphatic vocalization and composition, adding an intriguing layer of contrast to the track. The grungey vocals serve as an outlet for the raw emotions conveyed in the lyrics, while the melodic elements provide a captivating and accessible touch. This juxtaposition adds depth and complexity to the song, making it both compelling and relatable.
The words screamed out paint a picture of rebelliousness, with a dark entry into themes of self-harm and suicide. The imagery of cigarettes, smoke, and the bridge itself evokes a sense of escapism and self-expression.
What started in 2022 in Rochester, New York, Into The Light is setting out to demonstrate their musical prowess and shoegaze, indie-rock and post-rock influences in “Bridge,” with more coming up later this Summer or Fall.
