Isles of You by Lump200: Album Review

Lump200 makes fascinating electronic music that gives you an experience worth hearing. Their album “Isles of You” is a fantastic musical collection that instills various synth effects and beat structures relating to variations of EDM. However, the twist comes from the artist’s avant-garde mechanics. Thus, it’s interesting, mysterious, and quite enjoyable to hear on repeat. The album is also being released alongside the social audio web app “islesofyou.” Furthermore, the album features musician Els Vandeweyer taking up the vibraphone and the sound combines sensationally with Lump200’s visionary sound.
The music of Lump200 is a combination of various electronica pieces all coming together in an intriguing art form. The artist also involves other genres into the mix such as a bit of jazz in tracks such as “Splix.” This is where a bit of saxophone is invited along with the synth instruments. Aside from that, the thriller “Cex” should fascinate you to the core. The song is a mixture of dark ambient mixed with avant-garde house. It’s a melodic blend where Els joins in and generates a dark atmosphere of timbres. Aside from the experimental tones, songs such as “Draw A Distinction,” follow a more fixed structure and accompany a bit of a groove. The basslines were top-notch and mixed excellently with funky vocal lines.
Folks, if you’re a loyal fan of EDM, or enjoy the art of avant-garde music, then give Lump200’s album a shot. “Isles of You” is up for streaming, so don’t miss out!
