Drawing inspiration from the diverse and eccentric 60s soundscape, including elements of pop, rock, and psychedelic music, the band Strangely Alright has gloriously returned to preach the “Love always wins” type of message in a thrilling new single called “Not The End” which sounds supremely skilled.
Delivering in spades, this fantastic song manages to draw inspiration from a wide variety of classic and alternative rock acts that we’ve enjoyed over the years while also offering something entirely new and original to the genre. Killer riffs, an understated speed that seems twice as fast as it is, and choruses you’ll want to sing along to. The lead guitars’ echoed distortion and the bass’s constant driving beat are evocative of a late-1990s/early-2000s alternative hard rock song, lurching from dissonance to harmony and back again. This might become a quick favorite as you can’t help but nod to its infectious chorus! The track’s great segmentation helps to keep listeners thoroughly hooked, as it builds in a positively euphoric manner, keeping you on the edge of your seat until the guitar comes in for an intense solo. The repeating vocal line works nicely, and the double chorus at the end with panned extra vocalists helps keep the thrill going.
Strange as it may seem, “Strangely Alright” is quickly rising to the top of my list of preferred bands if I’m in need of a crushing hit so be sure to check them out!
