Phoenix lake has released new single “come alive”
Phoenix Lake’s first new song since 2020’s “Against The Tides” is “Come Alive,” a melodic hard rock/metal track. Their debut EP will be released at the end of 2022, and this is their first single. Tristan Hill at 7HZ Audio produced, mixed, and mastered this project.
The band worked hard in the shadow of the Covid 19 pandemic to write new material and develop their sound following the release of their last single. They’ve recently announced a slew of live dates across England, including a support slot for hard rockers FURY at Trillians in Newcastle. You can hear elements of Paramore’s beloved punk rock, as well as Parkway Drive and Bullet For My Valentine’s metalcore, in this band’s sound. To create Phoenix Lake’s unique sound, the band mixes a dash of Metallica with a heavy, melodic vein of Alter Bridge.
Come Alive’s YouTube channel Spaceuntravels has also published the music video for the song. Haus Creative’s Jay Sanderson and Kyle Leeman (directors) took charge of the camera. A rundown abandoned building is the setting for the video, which follows Lana as she battles with her conscience before entering a mysterious solitary door with Ash, Zak, and Kiaran. Real pyrotechnics and a high-energy performance from the band enhance the inferno as Lana enters the parallel reality of a cathartic mind at the end. It is only when the song builds to its climactic crescendo after Ash’s blistering guitar solo that Lana is finally enveloped in flames, symbolizing her transformation into a powerful force of rebirth.
