The all-new prog rock slash metallic synth twisted album Re//combinatory by Spotify-verified artist Combinator is full of one-of-a-kind tunes, vocals, and instrumental arrangements. This Washington-based act is the brainchild of Sean Fairchild, who dives deep with his multi-faceted talents and production skills to give listeners something versatile.
The music highlighted in this album is a masterful and unique blend of different genres. To label it as one would be the understatement of the decade. But everything comes together with the strong basslines, which are eclectic, modern, and riveting to say the least, and gives us the illusion that Combinator is a full-fledged band of multiple people orchestrating their skills. There are some instrumental remixes in the album that will have you unexpectedly thrown back, like the sudden acceleration of a roller coaster ride. Although I may not have listened to a lot of post-prog and rock, I must agree that Re//combinator, as atmospheric, and funky as it is, is the work of a true creative genius. I mean, Sean Fairchild is after all an Emmy-awarded individual.
This album is the act’s third and fully released album, showcasing Combinator’s complete diagnosis that matches the quality and energy of many artists like Joe Satriani. I’d recommend you to at least check out “Things That Should Be” for a taste of what you’re about to experience thoroughly in this 7-track album. It’s absolutely worth it!
