Seasons, And Still by Ido Filiba: Album Review

Ido Filiba is a splendid artist who creates peaceful music. His style of play is all about chill ambient, alt-folk, and a bit of lofi too! Altogether, these sounds are beautifully captured in the album “Seasons, And Still,” a melodious collection of music that’ll keep you hooked from beginning to end.
“Loneliness” produces a tone that is evocative of that exact sentiment. The track is layered with a soft acoustic harmony and deep basslines. It starts on a chill note but gradually builds into an atmospheric vocal segment. “Sofie” is a passionate melody filled with aspects of post-rock and ambient. But, man, keeping a natural flow to the track is Ido’s calming voice. He’s got such a natural approach to making music, and it’s evident through the cadence of his vocals. Aside from that, gripping solos flawlessly glide through the track. The guitar’s presence was praiseworthy and intensified the mellow aura of the album. In “Traveler,” we are led down a road full of jazz tranquility and lofi magic. The entire track is a beautiful blend of drum patterns, wind sections, and clean vocal presence. Altogether, it produces a melodic bond that is unbreakable and memorable.
“On Your Own” is a folk-pop tune with serene acoustic guitars and piano. What moved me the most, apart from these aspects, was the elegance of the track. It pertained to the idea of sophisticated music that would keep crowds enthralled till the last minute.
