Fish and Scale has dropped his new single, “Stay!” after being encouraged to go on by his fans and other artists alike due to the genuine Americana, New Age, and folk sound he created in his intrinsic and poetic music.
Now he is back to touch us all with his existentially reflective track called “Stay!” Released on the 7th of April, “Stay!” Has a simple acoustic guitar and piano tune with tambourines shaking up from the hind when the tempo starts to hike up. With a mid timbre and low intonation, his song is written like a dialogue, as though he is guiding the listeners to a better place. His voice, pitch, and wisdom make him so credible to follow.
Fish and Scale sings of the mental dilemma, with wisdom being ubiquitously available yet being thwarted by our state of unhappiness. He sings, “Stand down from your masquerade/And stay here with me/There’s nothing to hide anymore/It’s so easy to be” With the message of genuineness, he guides the listener to their original selves and shreds the facade of disguise with no shame for being judged.
Fish and Scale furthers his message with the lyrics, “No need to go far/I’m right here with you/I’m your breath I’m your love, your every little second in your life,” illustrating that we are already ourselves where we are. There is no need to go far to discover happiness, love, and more momentous events in life. The fulfillment is within us.
