Dylan Flach and Theresa DePriest joined their creative forces to form WEARETDY. They’re an electronica duo who remarkably blend Dylan’s DJ and production skills with Theresa’s extraordinary songwriting and poetic abilities. Ultimately, it is what gives the EP “10:01” that originality and natural sound. It consists of two songs that pertain to downtempo and ambient. Altogether, the EP was released on March 17th.
Dylan is renowned for his diverse career as a producer and DJ, which has provided him with invaluable experience as DJ/Producer DAILON. With Dylan is his partner Theresa, who performs a similarly vital role as a vocalist, and songwriter in the pair. Her ingenuity combined with Dylan’s technological expertise is what gives WEARETDY its unquestionably distinctive sound. The band is preparing to release an EP titled ’10:10′ in April, which follows the previously mentioned release of ’10:01′ in a logical manner.
“Trippin” relies on a lyrical inspiration recording the dual-sided nature of life’s pleasure; it covers the delight of drinking and leisure activities, but contrasts this with the hard truth of drug dependence and puts a stronger emphasis on the rewards of sobriety. According to the musicians, the second track “Set Free” pertains to the idea of spreading the energy we have with the world and freeing ourselves through our love for one another. In conclusion, the EP is superb with an electronica feel and experimental tones. You can check it out here!
