Whispering Tales release a new single & video for ‘Zugzwang’
Combining music and literature is an art form… Whispering Tales takes us on a journey where the music serves as the soundtrack and the words serve as the storyteller. The band’s roots are based on telling stories while listening to orchestral rock metal songs. The first opus was called “Echoes Of Perversion.” The nine tracks depicted the dark fantasy short story “Les reflets de la perversion.” This is the beginning of a thrilling journey. Then “Ad Abolendam” transported the listener to the dark days of the Inquisition, unveiling three awful tragedies in our history over thirty minutes of magnificent music.
The first installment of an ambitious trilogy, “Mechanism,” and the novel that accompanied it, “Pièce manquante,” unveiled a retro-futuristic universe with origins in the imagined and enigmatic Marseilles of the 1920s. More than a basic album, « Mechanism » provides life and voice to the novel’s characters, much like the soundtrack to a film, in which various leitmotivs merge chapter after chapter to stage and narrate their exploits. Whispering Tales takes the stage to tell their tales. The clothing and musical atmosphere are intended to engulf the audience in the concepts of the albums. The second installment of the trilogy, “A Matter Of Time,” was recently released. Prepare yourself! It’s just a question of time!
