You and Me by Bregn: Review

Jonas Mikkelsen, also known as Bregn, released his recent track “You and me” on November 18th, 2022. He is a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and also producer of his project.
The song starts softly, putting you in a relaxed state of mind, almost immediately. The vocal delivery and tone resemble the likeness of Kurt Cobain but are more soothing. The beautiful keys played along the song are peaceful and the sound of acoustic guitar makes it wholesome. Moreover, when the music tunes in the electronic genre, it changes the atmosphere of the song. Interestingly, on the official release of the song “You and me” Bregn said: “It is a reflection of our times; a mix of summer, love, the insecurities imposed by war, political drama, and the deepening energy crisis.”
There is hope in the continuation of believing that there is still a “You and Me” at the end of the day, that is what I wanted to convey about the lyrics.
Basically, the song gives off relaxed vibes, which almost immediately puts you in a calm and relaxed state, which is great; BREGN’S easy-going vocals compliment the song with the soulfulness of the track in a natural way. “You and Me” creates the atmosphere of a well-executed daydream thanks to its meaningful lyrics, extraordinary musicality, and peaceful vocals. Even more, the sound quality, mix, and mastering were very clean and clear and gelled well to make this song great.
