PIANO PRELUDES Vol. 02 by Jacqueline Kroft: EP Review
Jacqueline Kroft is a terrific classical musician who inserts powerful emotions into her art. Her EP “PIANO PRELUDES Vol. 02” is an instrumental collection oozing with personality and passion. Each track is based on soft piano tunes that are quite heavenly and hearing it all puts you in a calming trance.
There’s something inspiring about the classical genre, and any artist who delves into its rhythms. To put things into perspective, the theme and tone of its melodies conjure hopeful images into your psyche. So, whenever Jacqueline plays the piano and creates an atmosphere with her craft, it’s easy to get immersed in its cadence. Like the track “Piano Prelude 09 (Mornings With You)”, where the notes feel delicate and personal. One could easily imagine hopeful days being spent with their partner, primarily due to the song’s pattern. Other tracks such as “Piano Prelude 07 (Moving Leaf)” instill a bit of sadness into the rhythm. It’s almost like a story being told, where aspects of drama and thrill are present.
My favorite part of the EP is when “Piano Prelude 10 (The Way)” comes on. The piano feels much more eccentric and flows in a whimsical manner. Apart from that, there are subtle elements of pop and blues existing in the song. At least that’s the vibe I got, and it was a delightful one in that regard. Ultimately, it pleases me wholly to hear the music of Jacqueline Kroft, and I believe folks, you’ll feel the same too.
