Playas Ball by L.O.V.E Culture: Review
All throughout their new track โPlayas Ball,โ hip-hop group L.O.V.E Culture strikes a fine mix between luscious sounds and tremendous vocals. Influenced by groups like Flatbush Zombies, Brockhampton, Earthgang, Little Brother, and The Fugees, the five man army from Florida shines with a melodic and atmospheric take on hip-hop. The first introduction verse provides charismatic contrast to the late-night, brass-tinged beat, while the second vocal entry adopts an intense, rhythmically entrancing style.
The music takes you somewhere profound, and each verse becomes more hard hitting as the song progresses. The rappers try to out-rhythm each other while complementing each other in the same song, displaying their lyrical strength and grip over the mic. It is definitely a must listen for hardcore hip-hop fans. The production of the music adds another layer of intricacy to the mixture, along with the diverse instrumentation associated with the project, making for a track that will get your blood pumping and put you in the mood for a fightโdefinitely something that you will tune in to during a workout.
When they set out to make this song, the bandโs goal was to produce something that was both entertaining and powerful, demonstrating their musical development with this release. The snares and kicks are perfectly timed, and the electronic music is skillfully combined to create a unified and immersive ambiance that will permanently alter your perception of hip-hop.
