Roots Asylum release bluesy Americana single “Golden Hearts”

Americana rock band Roots Asylum hails from Kalamazoo, Michigan, a culturally rich locale in the United States. Their newest single, “Golden Hearts,” which was just released on January 6th, 2023, is a heartbreaking tale about a dissolved friendship. The beat of the music will undoubtedly resonate with anyone, and some of the words may represent a sense of nostalgia. According to the band, their influences were quite vibrant, especially when the melodic aspects are reminiscent of Roy Orbison’s “Blue Bayou” and Iz Kamakawiwo’ole’s “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.”
Roots Asylum never ceases to amaze with the consistently great new songs that they produce. The opening ode “I know we’re over now” serves as the initial hook into “Golden Hearts”, and powerful emotions are carried forward throughout the rest of the song. According to the songwriting inspiration of Roots Asylum, nobody makes it through life without having to say goodbye to a dear friend. Their tune transports you to the significant memories spent with a companion, including the wonderful and the difficult ones as well. It provides the listener with something unique to remember about that pleasant individual who will always remain in our soul. Ultimately, “Golden Hearts” would be a fantastic addition to any playlist specializing in Americana or Soft/Country rock.
“Golden Hearts” accompanies an upbeat acoustic guitar riff while a passionate singer takes the mic. Aside from that, bluesy lead passages are formed for a thrilling aura. Aside from this track, “Handle With Care” and “Take Her Back Louisiana” also make an entrance on the single. Altogether, all three songs are an equal combination of Americana rock, blended with the spirit of blues.
